Newport International Film Festival is a proud supporter of Welsh film, British film, student films, world films and Independent films! Promoting independent film and creating exciting networking opportunities for film-makers and film-lovers, plus plenty of awards! Submissions are now allowed into any category from international entrants, and with the exception of the Welsh Dragon Award all entrants can potentially win any award. Submissions are open for filmmakers in the following categories Feature Film Any film over 55 minutes. Short Film Any film under 55 minutes. Music Video A music based video. Student Any film under 15 minutes made by students. Screenplay This category is for new unproduced screenplays. Animation Any form of animation. Documentary Any documentary under 120 minutes.
