What an incredibley exciting festival! So many films! Some great attendances and a number of great Q&A's.
Film-makers came form all over the world for this festival, with Martha Pinson even jetting in from New York to pick up her award for 'Best New Screenplay'.
Experienced director Jan Dunn came down to introduce her latest movie 'The Calling' and BAFTA winner Stuart Brennan introduced a special screening of 'Risen'. Welsh director Andrew Tanner held a great Q&A on the low budget movie-making that went in to his debut feature 'Masterpiece' and the team behind the beautifully shot feature film 'Lovelorn' were on hand to discuss the charms of filming abroad.
The British Independent Film Festival 2011 was held at the Poole Lighthouse Cinema on May 6th & 7th 2011.
